A plethora of classification approaches are available. Understanding the impact of different methods is an important development in map literacy. To kick-off, letβs look at two of the most well-known and well-used methods.
- Equal interval β ensures evenly spaced gaps between the class breaks.
- Equal count (βquantileβ) method - ensures the same number of map areas are allocated to each class.
